Ο όρος 'Μείωση Της Βλάβης' στον ΟΗΕ #CND67

Μια ιστορική στιγμή για μας.

 

Πρώτη φορά στον #ΟΗΕ χρησιμοποιείται ο όρος 

'Μείωση Της Βλάβης' 

ανοίγοντας επιτέλους το δρόμο σε μια πιο ανθρώπινη και ρεαλιστική θεώρηση της χρήσης ουσιών.

Φεύγουμε από το άσπρο-μαύρο της Ναρκοαπαγόρευσης και πορευόμαστε προς μια πιο υγιή πραγματιστική αντιμετώπηση αναγνωρίζοντας, όπως και για το αλοκόόλ, ότι χρειάζεται γνώση για να μην αποβεί μοιραία η χρήση.

*Χθες, στη 67η Σύνοδο Υψηλού Επιπέδου της Επιτροπής των Ηνωμένων Εθνών για τα Ναρκωτικά στη  Βιέννη- #CND. Περιμένω το video για να το προσθέσω.

#CND67 | #Today is a #HISTORIC day: the concept of "harm reduction" breaks the historical consensus of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs (#CND) and winds of change are on the horizon. For the first time the #CND has included this term in a resolution. This has occurred during the 67th session, in Vienna, Austria.

The incorporation of "harm reduction" implies opening a small crack, more aligned with the real needs of today's world: no longer focused on punitive or criminalization, but on minimizing the negative impacts of drug use through public policies and laws, both at the health, social and legal levels.

The tireless agenda of this great family that is civil society, which has been advancing harm reduction strategies for more than 30 years, finally has a recognition of their hard work and the rights of those who use drugs.

From #Metzineres we celebrate this moment and continue to advocate for policies on drug use to be approached from the full spectrum of "harm reduction", without judgment or coercion, addressing not only consumption but structural factors such as housing, work, leisure and bonds of trust.

Σήμερα στο Μικτό ορκωτό δικαστήριο της Αθήνας, εκδικάστηκε η υπόθεση του Ε.Α για την κατά συρροή θανάτωση γατών.

Είναι η πρώτη φορά που δικάζεται κάποιος σε βαθμό κακουργήματος, για θανάτωση ζώων.

Το δικαστήριο ξεκίνησε στις 10.30 και τελείωσε πριν από λίγο.

Ο Ε.Α καταδικάστηκε σε κάθειρξη 8 ετών και σε χρηματική ποινή 400 ημερησίων μονάδων, από 50 ευρώ ημερησίως.

Το δικαστήριο απέρριψε το αίτημα του συνηγόρου υπεράσπισης του κατηγορούμενου,να αναστείλει την κράτηση του μέχρι την εκδίκαση της Έφεσης.

Οι δικηγόροι μας Dimitris Papadimitriou και Nikolaos Loukopoulos ,ήταν όπως πάντα εξαιρετικοι.

Εδώ να ευχαριστήσουμε την Έφη,που επωμίστηκε τα δικαστικά έξοδα και ευχόμαστε να σταματήσει η κακοποίηση των ζώων.

Narcofeminist Advocacy at CEDAW Webinar #EuroNPUD_SisterWUD

Women who use drugs have been addressing and presenting their concerns and recommendations to the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), who monitors the United Nations Convention on Human Rights enforcement. 

This webinar’s aim was to increase and strengthen the involvement of women who use drugs in human rights mechanisms advocacy such as CEDAW, based on peer-led pathways. It is organised by the EuroNPUD SisterWUD with the collaboration of INPUD and whrin. While arguing for a narcofeminist perspective on human rights, also presents some examples of shadow reports submitted to CEDAW.

Όπως κάθε χρόνο, εμείς οι γυναίκες που κάνουμε/κάναμε χρήση απαγορευμένων ουσιών, διεκδικούμε το δικαιωμά μας να ζούμε δίχως βία και φόβο.

EvaWUD: η ετήσια Καμπάνια μας για την Εξάλειψη της βίας κατά των γυναικών που παίρνουν ναρκωτικά.

H ΕuroNPUD SisterWUD, εμείς οι ΓYΝΑΙΚΧΣ της EuroNPUD Public (ευρωπαϊκού δικτύου ατόμων που παίρνουν ναρκωτικά) σε συνεργασία και πάνω σε μια ιδέα της διεθνούς οργάνωσης WHRIN (Women Harm Reduction International) ενωθήκαμε και φέτος στην καμπάνια ευαισθητοποίησης κατά της βίας προς τις γυναίκες της κοινότητάς μας.

25 Νοεμβρίου, Παγκόσμια Ημέρα για την Εξάλειψη της Βίας κατά των Γυναικών, ξεκινάμε 16 ημέρες δράσης ως τις 10 Δεκεμβρίου, Παγκόσμια Ημέρα για τα Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα. 

Μέλος βεβαίως είναι και το Δίκτυο Ομότιμων Χρηστών .Ψυχοδ/κων Ουσιών-PeerNUPS μαζί με τις ομάδες των  Ευρωπαίων Ναρκοαδελφών μας:

The Elimination of Violence Against Women who Use Drugs (EVAWUD) is a campaign launched by the Women and Harm Reduction International Network (WHRIN). It is 16 days of campaigning that runs from the International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25, through to the International Human Rights Day on December 10th 2023.

EVAWUD as a campaign has been integral in galvanising the organisational development of women who use drugs. These groups stem from grassroots activism, community-led service providers, mutual aid groups and advocacy organisations.

EuroNPUD’s growing Women’s Team (the SisterWUD) has used the EVAWUD campaign to support the sustainability, impactful advocacy and strengthening of women who use drugs across Europe and its neighbouring countries.

Στις 3 Νοεμβρίου 1957 ένα μικρό θηλυκό σκυλί με το όνομα Kudrjavka (γνωστό σε όλους ως 'ΛΑΙΚΑ') στάλθηκε στο διάστημα σε ένα ταξίδι μονόδρομου.

Χρησιμοποιήθηκε ως «επιστημονικό πείραμα».

Η προετοιμασία του, μαζί με άλλα σκυλιά, ήταν ένα ατελείωτο βασανιστήριο: 20 ημέρες σε στενά κλουβιά, ώρες και ώρες φυγοκέντρησης με ηλεκτροδια στο κεφάλι μέχρι να ασφαλιστεί η Λάικα στο διοικητήριο Sputnik τρεις μέρες πριν την εκτόξευση.

Οι Σοβιετικοί επικοινώνησαν στον κόσμο ότι ο σκύλος θα ζούσε για εβδομάδες και, αν η ανάρρωση δεν ήταν δυνατή (αδιανόητο επειδή ο Sputnik δεν είχε θερμική ασπίδα) μια αξιοθρήνητη ένεση θα τον "έκοβε για ύπνο. ”

Σήμερα γνωρίζουμε ότι η καημένη η Λάικα έζησε ίσως οκτώ ώρες, ίσως μερικές μέρες, δεμένη μέσα στον μικρό κύλινδρο, μέχρι που η υπερθέρμανση του την έκαψε ζωντανή.

Την θυμόμαστε ως ένα από τα πολλά σύμβολα της εκμετάλλευσης ζώων
